A nineteenth-century manor house and a neighboring lighthouse on a rocky outcrop above the Cascais marina, converted into a design hotel where eleven of the thirty-four rooms were each decorated by a different fashion designer. The look runs to white walls, platform beds, and floor-length windows over the water. There's a saltwater pool, a Mediterranean restaurant, a sushi bar, and a nightclub for when the spa mood evaporates. Lisbon is thirty minutes by train.
