Cool stone floors and hand-painted tiles run through this 15-room boutique hotel in Cascais, a short walk from the beach. The building was a private chalet for generations before it became a hotel, and it shows in the best way: a grand iron staircase, high ceilings with decorative molding, and a French-style garden where breakfast is served each morning. Rooms mix whitewashed walls with bold Portuguese-patterned headboards and parquet floors.
