    A black-bottomed saltwater pool sits at the heart of this boutique hotel housed in the old French Governor's residence, and it sets the tone: colonial bones, contemporary everything else. Rooms go dark and minimal, hardwoods and Cambodian silks, stone tubs big enough to get lost in. A Michelin Key hotel, close enough to Angkor Wat that you can feel virtuous about the day trip without actually rushing.
