    A gorilla appears in the butter, in photographs, and as a full statue, which tells you something about the mood at this Michelin-starred fine dining room just outside Lugano. The chef, already a name in Italy, works Mediterranean Italian territory with a creative hand. At most a dozen guests sit at the chef's table on a given evening, so the whole thing feels less like a restaurant and more like a dinner party where someone cooks very well.
