Furancho La Zapatería
Galician
The painted facade mimics an old shoe shop's glass front, which is a strange choice that somehow works perfectly for this casual Galician restaurant in Tenerife. Emma cooks while Alberto runs the room, and fresh seafood arrives from Galicia every other day via the owner's brother, which is exactly the kind of family logistics that produces good mussels. The Michelin Guide awarded it a Bib Gourmand. The mojo-dressed mussels and octopus empanadas do most of the heavy lifting.
