    A family gasthaus in a quiet Burgenland village, where the chef returned home after cooking elsewhere and quietly expanded the menu well beyond schnitzel and Tafelspitz. The dining rooms mix rustic and modern in that particular Austrian way, and a terrace opens in summer. The Michelin Guide awards it a Bib Gourmand. Lunch brings a shorter set menu; evenings stretch to a six-course tasting menu if you're committed.
