Gasthof zur Sonne
Swiss German
A lakeside inn that's been around forever, Gasthof zur Sonne earns a Michelin Bib Gourmand for traditional Swiss cooking that takes local sourcing to its logical extreme: the fish come from Lake Zurich, visible from the terrace. Whitefish and perch are the draws, though the Stäfa venison shoulder braised overnight in Pinot Noir makes a case for the land. The dining room upstairs is warm and old-timber cozy without feeling like a museum piece.
