Glen Ellen Star
Californian New American
A wood-burning oven anchors the room in this cottage-sized California restaurant in the Sonoma Valley, and almost everything that comes out of it earns its place on the menu. The chef did time at the French Laundry before settling into something cozier, and the seasonal wood-fired cooking here has a Michelin Bib Gourmand and a James Beard semifinalist nod to show for it. Biodynamic produce from a nearby farm keeps the vegetable dishes honest.
