The original Scotland Yard building, the Edwardian brick one the Met left behind when it outgrew the name, is now a luxury hotel in Hyatt's Unbound Collection. Public spaces lean into memorabilia and 19th-century grandeur; rooms are more contemporary but no less comfortable. Niklas Ekstedt's restaurant, a whisky bar, and a glamorous cocktail bar fill out the ground floor, and the "penthouse" is a five-floor townhouse next door.
