A restored 18th-century henequen hacienda sitting in its own gardens about 25 minutes outside Mérida, where all 54 rooms are suites, none of them small. Three pools, a spa built from natural stone with views of palms, yoga on an open-air pavilion, and a chapel available for private dinners when the occasion calls for it. The main restaurant runs classic Mexican dishes all day; the pool club handles the rest more casually. A quiet place to have nowhere to be.
