    Every room at this Hakone ryokan comes with its own private onsen bath, and there's still a full communal bath complex if you want company, or just more hot water. It holds a Michelin Key. The tatami and Western-style rooms run quieter and plusher than the category usually manages, all muted tones and unhurried design. Seasonal kaiseki and mountain views round out the kind of stay that makes the bullet train home feel like a personal affront.
