    A boutique hotel on the Haya River that looks like it should be a ryokan and has quietly decided not to be. Every room comes with its own spring-fed onsen bath, but the layout is Western, the furniture is elevated, and the art on the walls is contemporary even when it depicts local scenes. The public baths feature a screen cycling through visual art, and the restaurant runs international comfort food sourced from within ten kilometers.
