The names of 21 Danish Commodores still hang in the reception of this boutique hotel on Tórshavn's waterfront, which spent decades as their official residence before reopening as the Faroe Islands' only shoreside hotel of its kind. Rooms run from Standard to a Commodore Suite, all borrowing their palette from the fjord just outside. The in-house coffeehouse runs its own pâtisserie, and the historic fort Skansin is a short walk away.
