Floor-to-ceiling windows frame Lake Windermere and the woodland beyond, which sets the tone before any food arrives. Henrock is a modern restaurant inside Linthwaite House, part of Simon Rogan's farm-led empire, now with a head chef who came up through River Cottage and the Paris circuit. The kitchen draws produce from Rogan's nearby Our Farm and pairs it with Asian-inflected seasoning, so the Lake District and somewhere considerably further afield end up on the same plate.
