A 1526 wooden beam runs across the ceiling of this sleek little hotel restaurant in Rothenburg's Old Town, which is one way to remind you where you are. The kitchen follows the seasons with a five-course set menu, pulling from Franconian produce as readily as Norwegian waters. Service is warm and unhurried, and the baroque garden terrace out back makes the whole setup feel rather unfair to everywhere else.
