A small boutique hotel on a stretch of Brittany coast locals call the Côte des Légendes, where the view from most rooms is a wall of forbiddingly rocky shoreline meeting open Atlantic. The interiors have been freshened into something crisp and minimalist, with just enough nautical detail to remember where you are, though the horizon does most of the decorating. The on-site restaurant takes its name from the nearby Pontusval lighthouse, which feels about right.
