    A former bank converted into a boutique hotel, with enough of the original bones left to feel deliberate rather than themed: decorative columns, brass detailing, period glasswork, and guest room headboards cut from salvaged oak paneling. The vault one floor down is now the Gold Bar. Outside, the hotel faces Palace Noordeinde, a working royal residence, with the Mauritshuis a short walk away. The Michelin Guide has it in their selected hotels.
