Hotel Marcon

Sliding glass doors open the ten contemporary guest rooms directly onto the Ardèche and Velay mountains, so the view is less an amenity than a standing argument with any idea of staying indoors. This small hotel in Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid is the hospitality wing of the Marcon family operation, with a pool, spa, sauna, hammam, and Jacuzzi for when the scenery alone stops being enough. The three-Michelin-star restaurant next door is the reason most people make the drive up.
