A converted carpentry workshop in the apple orchards above Lindau, Hotel Villino is a small family-run hotel where fruit trees give way to an English-Italian garden and then, just beyond, Lake Constance. Rooms run from cozy, traditionally furnished doubles to light-filled attic suites with sloped ceilings and terrace views over the orchard. The on-site restaurant is a reason to stay in itself, but the setting does most of the heavy lifting before you even sit down.
