The menu is divided into acts, which feels fitting for a classic Italian restaurant sitting in the shadow of Karlsruhe's Staatstheater. It's a family-run room, now into its second generation, where the cooking runs from spaghetti carbonara to turbot with Champagne sauce and the dessert course is billed as the Epilogue. In summer, the wide pavement terrace fills up fast, and the veteran founder still drifts front of house, catching up with tables he probably knows by name.
