Île de la Lagune

A small villa-style resort sitting on its own island in a lagoon near Perpignan, Île de la Lagune calls itself "a large holiday home," which is optimistic but tells you everything about its ambitions, or lack thereof. Thirty rooms split between Mediterranean-modernist main-building suites and New England-inspired pavilion rooms, a rooftop pool, a thalassotherapy spa, and two on-site restaurants round out a place that makes seclusion feel like the whole point.
