Isle of Raasay Distillery

A working whisky distillery that also happens to have six rooms, on a 14-mile island off Skye reached by ferry and a short walk from the pier. Each room in the converted Factor's House comes with a bottle of Raasay's own whisky, views across to Skye, and a breakfast room whose stone feature wall doubles as a geology lesson, fossils included, for guests who look closely enough. Distillery tours run through the full process and end with a tasting.
