An 18th-century barn on a rewilding estate in West Sussex, where lunch means seasonal British cooking shaped almost entirely by what the land around you is producing. The flatbreads with wild garlic butter are a good reason to arrive hungry. The estate runs a farm shop and walking trails, so the meal tends to become most of the day, which seems to be the point. Summer brings occasional BBQ evenings for those who plan ahead.
