    Fourteen suites and treehouses arranged around a residence designed by celebrated Sri Lankan architect Channa Daswatte, on the shores of Koggala Lake rather than any ocean bay. This small eco-resort sits beside a bird sanctuary and dense lakeside forest on Sri Lanka's south coast, and holds a Michelin Key. The open-sided restaurant catches the lake breeze; the spa mixes Eastern and Western treatments; yoga happens under frangipani canopies.
