La Bastide de Moustiers

A Michelin-starred restaurant inside a beautiful bastide set on a sprawling estate just outside Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, where the kitchen garden does most of the talking. The chef leans hard into Provençal produce and charcoal smoke, with vegetables arriving first as a kind of overture, pickled or in light tempura. Olive trees shade the terrace, and the whole thing feels less like fine dining than a very civilized afternoon that got pleasantly out of hand.
