The minimalist room next to the San Juan civic centre is spare enough that the food has nowhere to hide. This is a contemporary restaurant where the à la carte lets you graze through small plates and sharing dishes, while a rotating seasonal menu runs at lunch through the week. Through the same door, a more formal dining room handles the tasting-menu crowd, so the building covers a lot of ground without making you feel like you wandered into the wrong night.
