La Table de La Butte
Modern French
The bread comes from the chef's own bakery, and the butters, seaweed or fleur de sel, arrive before you've had time to feel smug about finding the place. This is a one-Michelin-star restaurant in rural Brittany run by a third-generation family, where the menu is essentially a map of Finistère: oysters, lobster, abalone, local cheeses. The plates, the pottery, and the tableware are all made nearby, so even the décor is doing the terroir argument.
