    Dinner at this one-Michelin-starred fine dining room inside the Penha Longa Resort begins at a table shaped like Portugal, where the kitchen lays out appetisers as a kind of edible map of the country. From there, Sergi Arola's tasting menus lean Mediterranean with Cape Verdean inflections, and the glass-walled wine cellar glowing in the corner makes it very clear that this is not the kind of place you're rushing through.
