A modernist hotel sitting on the edge of a natural lake inside Ulm's largest city park, LAGO's clean lines and open spaces trace back to the Ulm School of Design, whose students had a hand in the plans. Rooms are minimal, full of natural light, and fitted with hardwood floors and floor-to-ceiling windows, many of them looking straight out at the water. Breakfast moves to an open-air deck when the weather cooperates.
