The Souksavanh brothers have been running this Thai-Lao neighborhood restaurant on the Belleville strip long enough that a table here is a minor victory. The room fills fast with regulars who already know the crying tiger and the Lao crispy rice salad by heart. Everything is made in-house, the menu moves between two cuisines without apology, and the Michelin Bib Gourmand keeps the secret poorly. Overflow goes next door to their sister spot, Ama Siam.
