    A 16th-century palace sets the stage, but the dining room keeps things grounded: bare tables, modern details, and a tasting menu format that moves through thirteen or fifteen courses with real confidence. The Michelin-starred kitchen sends one course out from inside it, so you catch the team mid-service before sitting down. The cooking is contemporary Portuguese, precise and composed without feeling stiff about it.
