A small, pared-back restaurant in a building that has, over the years, done time as a police station, a bus shelter, and a florist, which gives it the kind of accidental character money can't buy. It sits opposite an abbey and a cathedral in the middle of Bury St Edmunds, whitewashed inside and hung with modern art. The menu runs to modern Mediterranean small plates, cod cheek tempura and cacio e pepe among them, with a kitchen selection if decisions feel hard.
