    A short drive from the D-Day beaches, this creative restaurant in Bernières-sur-Mer is where the chef channels Norman terroir into modern, market-led plates. Channel fish, andouille de Vire, Bayeux pork, the pantry is local and the cooking has a little personality behind it. Small, personal, and clearly run by someone with opinions about what ends up on the menu, which in a village restaurant is exactly what you want.
