A converted stable at the edge of a Chianti village, L'Asinello is a quiet, elegant restaurant run by a young couple who also tend the garden where you'll want to sit after dinner. The chef keeps the cooking spare and Tuscan, a few well-chosen ingredients doing more than a long menu ever could. The garden is his work too, which tells you something about his precision. It holds a Michelin star.
