A shaded terrace under plane trees, tucked beside a château outside Annecy, sets the mood for a Modern French restaurant that plays both sides of the menu without apology. The chef has been at it here forever, moving between braised chuck with Mondeuse sauce and leek-and-nori maki with Thai vinaigrette as if neither choice requires explanation. A neighborhood place that got a little ambitious, in the most comfortable way.
