A 19th-century manor house in the Burgundy village of Pommard, done up with enough contemporary polish that the stone walls don't feel like a museum. This small hotel and spa looks out over the vineyards, and Pommard wine flows accordingly. The on-site restaurant runs most of the year with seasonal cooking, and the village has other options when it closes. Good base camp for anyone who came to Burgundy to drink seriously.
