The terrace faces the same ridge of Sainte-Victoire that Cézanne painted obsessively, which either means the view is extraordinary or it comes with a lot of artistic baggage, likely both. This is a renovated Provençal farmhouse turned modern restaurant, where the chef, a Paris fine-dining veteran, ages cuts of beef on site and plates the surrounding terroir with evident care. Lunch on the shaded terrace, with the valley below, is a strong argument for a long afternoon in Provence.
