The whole room is named after a dog, which tells you something about the energy here. Mabel's is an upscale-casual seafood spot in North Park where the menu leans into California-meets-Iberia, raw oysters and crudos on one end, swordfish schnitzel with salsa verde and tonnato on the other. Natural wines and gin cocktails fill the gaps. The Michelin Guide gave it a Bib Gourmand, and Esquire called it one of the best new restaurants in America.
