Tucked behind Le comptoir 17 and seating no more than a dozen, this intimate French tasting menu restaurant runs on the chef's undisguised love for France, which has a way of making a room feel personal rather than precious. Five or seven courses on most nights, slightly shorter on Fridays. Dish names read like postcards, line-caught sea bass from Quiberon among them. The wine list is well chosen and the service warm. Book ahead, or you simply won't get in.
