A converted water mill on the Seine, now a boutique hotel where wooden boats drift past while guests take champagne on the riverfront terrace. The oak-paneled dining room has Baccarat chandeliers, rooms come with antiques and the occasional Jacuzzi, and the hotel keeps a private island you can row across to. It reads like a Norman pastoral fantasy, which is, presumably, entirely the point.
