Sitting on the water in the small Frisian village of Grou, this hotel restaurant has its own jetty and a terrace that watches over the marina all day. Inside, bistro chairs and a big bar keep things relaxed and a little convivial. The menu leans on local character, smoked eel being the thing to order, soft and fatty with dill mayo and crisp apple. Steak tartare gets the full tableside treatment. Lunch is simpler, dinner more considered.
