The terrace looks out over Lake Constance, which is the kind of view that makes a tasting menu feel like a reasonable life choice. This is a two-Michelin-star fine dining room inside Hotel Riva, running classical French technique through very good regional ingredients, with sauces that take the whole thing seriously. The sommelier steers the wine list well, and the kitchen table beside the pass seats four with a direct line of sight to the action.
