Osteria di Mercato is an evenings-only Italian dining room near the University of Houston, decorated in cheery orange walls, wine bottles as set dressing, and blue velvet chairs at a small bar. It's pitched squarely at date night, so expect low-key good clothes and couples sharing arancini and a pasta course. The kitchen has a Michelin Guide listing, which in practice means somebody up there likes the branzino.
