    Arthur Erickson's twisting downtown skyscraper is an unlikely host for a hotel that seems determined to keep you out of your room. A lobby pool table, nightclub, high-end Chinese restaurant, and rooftop-adjacent lounge make the public floors feel like the whole point. The 147 rooms vary in shape because the building does too, but all get leather headboards, wood floors, and floor-to-ceiling city views. Forbes Four Star, if you want the shorthand.
