    The lobby alone stops people mid-stride: a converted Art Nouveau arcade that mixes Parisian, Gothic, and Moorish flourishes, all apparently dipped in gold. This is a serious luxury hotel, and it holds a Michelin Key to prove it. Rooms pull back to near-monochrome minimalism, which makes the gilt accents hit harder. A full-service spa, a brasserie, and a café set inside the soaring atrium round out the kind of stay where you feel slightly embarrassed checking your phone.
