A period house overlooking the Solent, with a garden terrace that earns its keep in summer. This is a relaxed bistro from a well-known Isle of Wight chef, and the menu casts a wide net: pies, burgers, pasta, steaks. Nothing on the list sounds ambitious, which is almost the point, because the kitchen brings enough craft to the familiar stuff that it lands harder than you'd expect. Service is friendly without making a production of it.
