Pan-fried buns are the whole point here, and the owner spent three years working from memory before he felt they were right. This small dim sum shop in Nantun turns out pork buns with a soupy, fatty-to-lean filling that got there the long way, plus veggie buns packed with bok choy, dried tofu, and mushroom. The steamed dumplings have a chewy, satisfying pull. A Michelin Bib Gourmand, and the kind of place that earns it quietly.
