    Tucked behind Siam Paragon, one of Southeast Asia's great retail cathedrals, this Forbes Four Star hotel manages a quiet the mall crowd outside never seems to find. An O-shaped layout puts three saltwater pools and gardens at the center, and the marble lobby reaches up to 46-foot pillars. The site itself once served as a royal summer retreat, and the grounds still border a private royal residence, which keeps things grounded in a way no amount of lobbying could.
