A quiet residential street between Harrods and Hyde Park is a strange place to find a boutique hotel that has been around forever, but The Capital pulls it off. Rooms are individually dressed with antique furniture and original artwork, and the eleven apartments and a two-floor penthouse let longer-stay guests keep hotel services while pretending they live here. Tom Brown's 28-cover restaurant downstairs makes the address worth knowing on its own.
