    A 36-floor tower in Manama's business district, The Domain Hotel and Spa plants its lobby on the 16th floor, which is a bold move until you see the city views that justify it. The checkerboard-tiled arrival space doubles as a gallery of work by local and Saudi artists, and the art-deco thread runs through every corridor from there. Arad Fort and Bab Al Bahrain are minutes away, though the building gives you plenty of reasons to stay put.
